Simple flow

Quote, sign, done

One clean path from first call to finished paving. We walk the job, agree a straight price, you sign on your phone, and we get on with the work.

01Measure & quote

We walk the job on site, write down exactly what is included, and put a straight total on the quotation.

02Sign on the phone

You read the quote on your phone, sign with a finger, print your name and date.

03We get on with it

Deposit locks your slot in the diary. We order the materials, turn up on the agreed day, and leave the job broom-clean when you sign it off.

Working with us

Terms & conditions

Plain English. The bits that keep both sides honest.

1. Who we are

Brindle Bespoke Paving is a sole-trader groundworks and paving business based in Preston, Lancashire. We are not currently VAT registered, so you will not see VAT on our quotes.

2. Quotes

Every quote is priced from a site visit. We come out, walk the job, take our own measurements, look at ground conditions, access, and anything else that will affect the build, then write the quote from what we have actually seen. Photos on WhatsApp are fine to get the conversation started so we can say straight away whether we take on that kind of work, but a firm price only comes off a proper visit. The total on your quote is the price for the work listed on that quote. If we spot something on the day that changes the job (bad substrate, buried services, drainage issues), we stop, take a photo, and speak to you before doing more work. No surprise bills.

3. Payment terms

To keep both sides safe, payment is split three ways:

Paid by bank transfer to the account details on your quote. We do not take card payments. Cash is fine for the balance if that suits you better, and every payment is recorded on your invoice for the tax year.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel the job at any time before we order materials or lock in your slot in the diary. If you cancel inside the 14 days after accepting the quote and we have not spent anything on your job yet, the deposit is refunded in full.

Once materials have been ordered or your diary slot is booked, the deposit is used against those costs. If any deposit money is left over after the materials and the booked time are accounted for, you get the balance back. We do not keep more than has actually been spent on your job.

If we have to cancel or move the job from our side (weather emergency, sudden illness, materials that have not turned up), we do not walk away and refund you. We reappoint the job at the earliest date that suits both of us and your deposit stays with us against the rebooked work. If you would rather not wait for the new slot, we refund whatever we have not already spent.

5. Weather and delays

Paving needs the ground dry enough to lay properly. If the forecast turns bad, or the scale of the work needs a longer dry window than we can see coming, we will tell you the day before and move your start to the earliest sensible slot for both of us.

We do not lay slabs in the rain just to hit a date. We do not charge you for a day we lost to weather. If a job runs across multiple days and one of those days is a washout, we finish it on the next dry day at no extra cost.

Once we agree a rescheduled date it goes in the diary the same as any other job. If site conditions turn out to be worse than the survey showed (waterlogged ground, buried services, anything that stops safe work), we pause, explain the situation, and reappoint the job to the earliest workable date. We would rather rebook you properly than force a bad build to hit a calendar.

6. Materials and workmanship

All materials on your quote come from named suppliers. If your quote specifies a brand or range, we use that exact product. Any substitution has to be agreed with you first in writing (a WhatsApp message counts).

Workmanship carries a 12-month warranty from the sign-off date. If anything settles, cracks, or fails inside 12 months due to how we built it, we come back and put it right at no cost. Warranty does not cover damage from vehicles heavier than the design load, ground movement, or work done on the paving by anyone else after we finish.

7. Access, waste, and site tidy-up

We need reasonable vehicle access to the working area and a place we can pile spoil for the day. All waste we generate goes to a licensed tip and the waste transfer note is available on request. We sweep and tidy every night, and we leave the site broom-clean when the job is signed off.

8. Complaints

If you are not happy with something, tell us on the day and we will do our best to sort it before we finish. If a complaint comes up later, email or call using the details on the Contact page. We will respond within 3 working days.

9. Your data

Details of how we store your contact details, quote, and job records are on the Privacy page.

What we hold, why we hold it, and how to change it.

What we collect

Why we hold it

To price and deliver the job you asked us to do, to send invoices, to keep the books tidy for the tax year, and to honour the 12-month workmanship warranty.

How long we hold it

Business records (quote, invoice, and payment history) stay on our books for six years. That is standard practice for any trade business keeping proper accounts. Your photos and contact details are kept for the warranty period (12 months from sign-off) then removed, unless you ask us to keep them for future work.

Who we share it with

Only our accountant, and only the invoice pack (not photos). Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with marketing companies, nothing is passed on to anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask to see everything we hold on you, correct anything wrong, or ask us to delete what we can. Records we are required to keep for the accounts will stay on file. Email using the details on the Contact page and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies and this website

This site does not use tracking cookies, does not have Facebook or Google pixels, and does not measure who visits. If you filled in a quote form on the site, the details go by email to us and nowhere else.

We answer calls between working hours. If we are on site with a mixer running, leave a message and we will call back the same day. For a quote, the best move is to give us a ring so we can come out and take a proper look. A photo or two on WhatsApp is fine if you want to check we take on that kind of work before we drive over, but the price comes off the site visit.
